Bigeloil Reviews in 2022 (Bigeloil for horses)

Bigeloil has been around for many, many years and continues to be widely used in racing and rodeo communities.

The liniment is created by W.F Young Inc. which has been around since the late 1800s.

The liniment can be used as an antiseptic, anti-fungal, and anti-inflammatory which is why so many owners continue to use Bigeloil.

Horses with minor strains or muscle fatigue should feel immediate relief.

  • SD alcohol 40B
  • thymol

  • yellow 5

Bigeloil Uses:

Most first-time users of Bigeloil will start out simply using it as a liniment.

This is best accomplished by three different application methods.

First, you may try simply rubbing the liniment onto the affected area in the same direction as the hair.

It can be left like this but will be more effective if wrapped.

The wrap can be left on overnight, or remain on while trailering.

Afterward, you can wash the area or reapply. This cycle can be continued as many times as necessary.

Another method to apply Bigeloil as a liniment is to use it as a massage aid.

While massaging the sore area apply the liniment and rub in a deep manner.

This will cause the liniment to fully activate and produce heat.

Because of this, the area should not be wrapped after massaging due to possible blistering.

Lastly, a spray nozzle may be attached to the bottle to apply to large areas to help muscles relax before a workout.

It is not recommended to be placed in an area that will be under friction; such as under the saddle pad.

Bigeloil is also an excellent antiseptic when used on minor cuts and scrapes.

It is also very effective when using for skin infections like rain rot and hoof infections.

This can be accomplished by attaching a spray nozzle to mist-affected areas.

Body Wash

Lastly, Bigeloil may be used as an invigorating body wash.

Pour several ounces of the liniment into a bucket and then fill with cold or hot water.

Use a sponge to wash off a tired, sweaty horse, and soon your horse will be feeling refreshed.

What we like about it:

Bigeloil has been around for many years and still has a large following.

It is also made without any harsh chemicals which means Bigeloil’s side effects are basically nonexistent.

Bigeloil is a great product for day-to-day work and recovery.

What we don’t like about it:

Bigeloil recently received a formula change that many customers have not been fond of.

However, it is still widely used and appreciated in the horse industry.
